New Adventures

After 25 years of faithful service at Salem Baptist Christian School, Valerie Reed has decided to pursue a different path for next year. Reed has held many positions during her years with SBCS, including teaching various middle and high school classes and serving as the school librarian, guidance counselor, and Public Relations Director. As Mrs. Reed follows God’s leading into a new career, we want to express our sincere appreciation for all she has done at Salem.

Mrs. Reed shared the following message with us: “ I am grateful for the opportunity God gave me to work with the faculty, students, and families at SBCS. I consider myself blessed to have had the opportunity to pour into the lives of students for 25 years and to form relationships with the families and other faculty members at such a great school. I trust God has great things for me in my new adventure in real estate, but will always be thankful for the things He taught me during my years at Salem. #govikings

Mrs. Reed, we are excited to see what God has planned for you in the coming years, and pray that God continues to bless you and use you in His service.

Stepping into the role of Public Relations Director is Shannon Bianco. Mrs. Bianco joined the Salem family last year, working as our computer teacher and social media coordinator. However, Mrs. Bianco's background and education include both teaching and Public Relations. We're excited to see Shannon step into this new position that matches her skills, training, and passion. Additionally, Michelle Drake and Lydia Aertker will also be part of the public relations team.

As we prepare for the 2021-2022 school year, we continue to praise God for how He works in individuals and how He is working at Salem. #sbcsvikings #buildup
