Athletics is a means of personal, social, physical, and spiritual growth for student-athletes. Developing a winning attitude focused on every part of the student athlete for competition is key, but creating the right environment in athletics that brings glory to God in that competitive arena is critical to the athletic experience.

We strongly believe that athletics play an important role in teaching preparation, discipline, and perseverance. What they learn today as student-athletes will help them be successful throughout life.
Salem participates in the North Carolina Independent Athletic Association (NCISAA). Inside the state association, our high school teams compete in the Foothills Athletic Conference (FAC).
Our Middle School teams are a part of the Central Carolina Independent School Athletic Association (CCISAA).
