FINANCIAL AID INFORMATION

Financial Assistance directly from Salem

Salem seeks to provide financial aid to those students in grades K4-12th grade and Discovery Center students whose families can provide documentation of need.

We believe enrollment in our school should not be limited to families who are able to pay full tuition. Our tuition assistance program enables us to assist deserving students who could not otherwise afford to attend. Salem may not be able to meet 100% of demonstrated needs of each applicant, and frequently, the number of qualified applicants exceeds the tuition assistance resources of the school. Therefore, there is no guarantee that every qualified applicant will receive tuition assistance.  Salem uses a third-party company, FACTS Grant & Aid, to assess needs.

NC Opportunity Scholarship

Salem accepts the Opportunity Scholarship which is awarded by the state to families who meet the qualifications.  Students in grades K5-12 are eligible to receive up to a $6,168 scholarship.  Students who are awarded this scholarship must still pay fees and families who receive a 90% scholarship will owe a small balance on tuition.  Students must also be transferring from a public school or entering K5 – 2nd grade.  Foster care students and students of full-time active duty military are also eligible.  The scholarship is based on financial need.  For more information and to apply click the button below.

Education Student Accounts (ESA+) Program

Beginning with the 2022-2023 school year, the Disabilities Grant and Education Savings Account (ESA) programs will be combined Into the Education Student Accounts (ESA+) program.

The Education Student Accounts (ESA+) program is for eligible students with disabilities in Kindergarten through 12th grade to provide an option for parents to pay tuition, fees, and some other expenses at a participating nonpublic school.  The grant can award up to $9,000 per year.  Some students may be eligible for scholarships up to $17,000.
