During the summer of 2019, Blake spent time training in a submarine, flying in Navy fixed and rotary wing aircraft and taught an FAA ground school course to future Naval Aviators at the Naval Academy. When asked what were some of his fondest memories of his time at SBCS, Blake responded:
“the most important thing I gained from Salem was a sturdy foundation in a Godly world view—not just from my Bible classes, but all the classes. I’m also thankful for how heavily all of the teachers and staff invested in me to make me who I am today.”
