Amy (Thomason) Troxell attended Salem Baptist Christian School from kindergarten through the twelfth grade.  She graduated in 2011 having earned the title of class valedictorian and being crowned as the 2011 Homecoming Queen.  Following her graduation from SBCS, Amy attended Campbell University where she earned her Bachelor of Science, majoring in Biology with a double minor in Chemistry and Honors Interdisciplinary Studies.

Amy went on to study at East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine.  She currently practices in New Bern, NC.

When asked about her memories at SBCS Amy said “I am grateful for the opportunity to have developed many important relationships while at SBCS. The close teacher/student relationships influenced me to attend a small university which allowed me to continue confidently in my educational pursuits. It is evident how deeply the teachers truly care about their students at Salem. Additionally, I had the opportunity to participate in a variety of clubs and sports teams, all providing me unique experiences and true friendships with my classmates. Finding a husband there wasn't too bad either.”

Amy married Josh Troxell (SBCS class of 2011) in July of 2015.
